  1. Biological or genetic traits that shaped me:

I am athletic. I enjoy running, and I am able to run for a long distance at a fast pace. Through the years, beginning in junior high, I have competed in running events. I enjoy doing things that I feel I am good at, therefore I have pursued a career in coaching other runners.

I have a very good memory. I believe this aids me in my learning process. I enjoy learning, and take on new things all the time. Whether it be studies of the anatomy, learning to play the drums, or learning a new hobby or sport, I love to try new things, and I am very open to that!

I am very outgoing, and I have never been shy. I think I was born looking for an outlet to shine. I enjoy singing in a band, acting in dramas at my church, and being around people, in general. I think I am very much a people person, unlike my parents, who keep to themselves.

I believe these things have shaped what I do and who I am.

  3. Being female(biological),has helped me in my first career. Since there aren't many women in aviation, this helped me get several jobs-cause they have to hire a certain number of women.
I'm artistic and love working with my hands, this genetic traits I received from both parents.
I love people and sharing, I'm like my Dad.

  5. Three traits I've inherited that have shaped who I am today are my gender, my love of nature and my inquisitive disposition.
Being female has led me toward the roles of mother and home-maker. Although this may sound like an old-fashioned cliche to some, I have embraced these roles and love the part they play in who I am. I feel that motherhood is one of the most important roles I will ever fill.
I believe I inherited my love of nature and desire for open spaces from my mother, who shares these interests. I have always felt a connection to the natural world, and I remember spending time with my mother in her garden or walking in the woods. This trait has led me into a career in environmental education and has been influenced greatly by nurture as well as my basic nature. My childhood experiences with nature and my passion for teaching outdoors have shaped this naturalistic side of me to bloom into a passion that helps define who I am and what I want to do with my life.
My inquisitive and curious nature has been a part of me since I said my first words, "what's dat?" And it continues to influence who I am today. I see this trait in my two year old daughter as well in her curiosity and experimental nature. My natural curiosity has led me toward an interest in science and shaped my goal to always be learning.

  6. Three important biological or genetic traits that helped to shape who I am today-

I have been very athletic all my life. I have been in almost every sport and even now that I no longer play, I run as much as I can every week. My mom isnt athletic at all but my dad however is. I assume that I get it from him.

I have always been very artistic. Neither of my parents are so I guess its just in my own genetics. I love to paint, draw, sculpt, and pretty much anything else involving art. I have also been sewing since I was seven years old. This was on my parents initiative even though neither of them are talented enough to sew.

A third trait I have is my curiosity. I have always wanted to learn anything and everything I could put my hands on. I love to create new things, discover parts of the world I have only heard of, make things that no one has before. I would love to travel the world and explore.

  7. I'd have to say that one of the traits would be that I'm musically inclined. Both of my parents are good at music. I'm assuming that any talent I have is from them. I love singing and have played a few instruments in my life. One of my sisters can't carry a tune to save her life. So I figured it has to be from genetics.

I think my athletic ability is genetic as well. Both of my sisters and myself played soccer and basketball. We all had varying talent levels. My youngest has the most talent. The middle one was the worst, and I fell in the middle. I wasn't great, but I wasn't terrible. Because of my genetic talent, I have had certain sports related experiences that the others haven't. Some of the experiences have shaped me, but I may not have had them if I was as talented as my youngest sister.

I have a tendency to be a bit of a worrier. Sometimes I worry about things that I don't need to like did I pack everything or unplug the toaster after I used it this morning. I sometimes worry about school too much too. I've been trying to go with the flow more, but it's hard. My mom is worse than I am though. I think I get it from her.

  8. The things that make up who I am both gentically and biologically:
I am very independent and believe that God is the foremost reason that directs my life. I am very outgoing and headstrong when it comes to my family and business. My dad is very social but stubborn and my mom is headstrong, however my grandfather believed that putting God first was foremost. So I have taken a little bit from all three and used them to direct my life. My mom is short and so am I and most people would say that I look like my mother.
If I look at my three children I see pieces of both my husband and I in them. My oldest has the love of God in her heart and very much loves children and the daycare. My middle though he has many disabilities has my temperament and sometimes a little too much and my youngest has my outgoing headstrong personality.

  9. some bioloigical and gentic traits that have shaped who i am today are:

My personality is one of the strong traits i get from my father. I'm outgoing and love to laugh and more importantly love to tease people to insinuate laughter from my self.

I get my musical talent from my father while the love of reading comes from my mother. I also get my headstrongness and my bossiness from my mother who speaks her mind willingly.

  10. One thing that shaped who i am today is my ability to tell right from wrong in situations and take myself out of the bad ones. i got this trait from my mother who has been judgeing situations and been staying out of them for years.

Another thing that has shaped the way I am is my musical talent in which i did not get from either one of my parents who can't carry a tune but myself and both my sisters have had some musical accomplishment.

the last thing is my outgoingness which i got from my father who used to dance around the kitchen with our dog while my sisters and my friends watched in shock and horror.

  11. It's funny when I try to think of a trait, I draw a blank. If I would have to say, one that I think of first is how analytical I am. I share this with my father. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. Good being that I tend to do things right the first time. Bad being that I tend to over think things and even over complicate the situation.

Second, my European decent really helped me shape who I am today. I have your traditional build (stocky and a natural build). Europeans are said to not get often as frequent. I tend to rarely get sick (knock on wood). Also, I have a very good work ethic. Through my life, I have learned that everyone doesn't.

Finally, I have a natural love for food and wine. In my family, I do all the cooking. My father, two of my uncles were all chef/owners. I have a natural knack for cooking. My mother and sister are always getting together and cooking elaborate feasts.

  12. three important biological or genetic traits that helped to shape who you are today-

    1) I would have to say my sense of humor. My whole family is surrounded by laughter at all times. I have found that I am one of those people that can turn a bad situation into something funny to make others feel better and have a good time.

    2) I am very driven. Once I put my mind to something there is no stopping me. I dont know where i picked this up from, but I am the only one in my family that is like this. I am the first one in the family to go to college. I have always had the drive to be successful, no matter how long it took me to get there. I work full time and go to school full time. I dont know what else would help you do that besides being driven.

3)Lastly I am very fun and outgoing...I think. I love to be a social butterfly. I am always pretty much down to do anything (except heights haha). I was a cheerleader for 4 years. I enjoy going out and meeting new people. I belive this is an enherited trait. I surround myself by fun people and try to avoid drama and confrontation.

By choosing to hang around with the people I do and the family whom I come from, I believe they have shaped me into the person I have become today. And I am happy to say that!!

  13. wow I had to think about that one. i guess the first triat would be that I am a very emotional person who wears my heart on my sleave and can often see two sides to every story. The next trait is that I am also very opinionated and when I feel strongly about something I don't back down. This is a trait I get from my Grandfather.Last but not least I would say that I have been known to have a bad temper. This is my least favorite trait that I continue to work on. The other two however I am very glad to have inherited. I feel that they are storng traits that run deep in my family and I am proud to have them. Amy McNeil

  14. Well one trait that I have is the love to care for other people. I quess that I got that from my mom. She is a nurse and she cares for the elderly. I knew that I wanted to follow in her footsteps but I did not want to work with the elderly. I wanted to work with young children. I quess thats where my next trait comes in. I do have the patiences to work with young children. My next trait is a hard one I quess I like working with the public.
